End of the Line for Dodge Dart and Chrysler 200

Early in 2016, it was rumored that FCA (parent company of both Dodge and Chrysler) would terminate the Dart and 200 sedan models if another manufacturer could not be found in the U.S. or abroad to continue its production.

Sadly, the need was not met and we are now seeing the final days of these relatively new sedan models.

The Dart is slated to end production this month, with the last model rolling out from the factory in Belvidere, IL where they’ve been produced. The Chrysler 200 will continue until December, when its production will be scraped to produce new Ram 1500 model at its Sterling Heights, MI plant.

These sedans are the only compact car options from both Dodge and Chrysler, leaving drivers with only full-size sedan models to choose from now.
