Jeep Fest May Come Every Year!

Jeep Fans from Ohio and across the nation flocked to Toledo last week to celebrate Jeep's 75th anniversary at Jeep Fest. Jeep Fest included an enormous parade of Jeeps run by their owners who were allowed to participate in the event. There was also an impressive collection of Jeeps that included an example of every model the company has ever produced alongside a showing of vintage Jeep films. Jeep created a special one-off 2016 Jeep Wrangler for the event with a WW2 theme which included custom tires, hood latches, seating, a custom grille, and a rear-mounted spare tire. Jeep got its start working with the American military in 1941.

Over 40,000 people showed up for the event, and it was such a success that organizers are strongly considering making it an annual event. UAW Local 12 president Bruce Baumhower helped to organize the event, and said, "I think the pride in Jeep and the enthusiasm in Jeep is absolutely at an all-time high… I think there's an appetite from the community to do it again, every year is what they said." At Lonnie Cobb's, we're hoping to see that happen!
